Boogieland Pipers have years of experience of Burns Nights and Burns Suppers.

Usually held on or around the 25th of January, the famous poets birthday, Burns Nights are a celebration of the famous poet Robbie Burns.

After the Selkirk Grace:

Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
And sae let the Lord be thankit.

The Haggis is piped in with the piper leading the Haggis to the hosts table.

The Piper might then play 'A man's a man for a' that', 'Robbie Burns Medley' or 'The Star O' Robbie Burns'. The Piper, host, or a guest then recites the Address to a Haggis.

As the speaker says 'His knife see rustic Labour dicht' he draws and cleans a knife, and at the line An' cut you up wi' ready slicht, cuts the Haggis open. This ceremony is the highlight of the night.

A whisky toast is proposed to the haggis, then everyone will sit down to the meal.

After the meal there are usually speeches and toasts.
